Hey I just bought a BBB (Beautifully Bearded Bar) how do I care for it?

This is a common question and a very important question I get asked a lot so pull up a seat (just kidding it's not that hard but it is important)

As you may or may not know all our Beautifully Bearded Bar Soaps are all handmade in Langley, BC by myself with all the best ingredients and because it is made with natural oils it takes just a little extra care to get the most out of your bar.

1) These soaps absolutely explode with scent and lather when you hit them with a loofa so do that and you will thank me later

That's not really a how to care for tip just a tip so you can get the most out of these bars.

2) The most important tip is, and listen carefully cause it's a good one, OK you ready? Here we go!!

After you finish using this bar in the shower make sure you put it in a rack in your shower, or on a soap dish.  DO NOT just leave it sitting on the ledge of the tub.  Why? Because unlike a lot of store bought, manufactured soaps, natural soaps have humectant naturally in them which is just a fancy word for it absorbs moisture.  What this means is if you leave it sitting in a puddle of water in your shower it is going to absorb that moisture which is going to make the soap go soft then when you go to use it again it isn't going to last as long.  Good for me haha bad for you but honestly I want you to enjoy every bit of these bars and if you take care of a bar it will last you a long time.

Also while showering when you aren't using the bar try to keep it out of the direct spray of the shower water, just to prevent premature (no not that word) erosion.

The main takeaway from all of this is LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!

All these tips also go for the Beard/Shampoo bars as well.

If there is anything that doesn't make sense please don't hesitate to reach out to me at and I will do my best to help you.

Stay Beautifully Bearded
